So I went to Yaverland via a quick stop at the Dinosaur Isle Museum (had to go once before leaving Portsmouth for the summer [I'll hopefully be returning for a masters in Sept/October]) and had a remarkedly good day in terms of finds, certainly better than all of my previous trips there! Here's a fin spine I found (I don't have time to identify stuff or take photos of everything else as it's all packed for moving over the weekend- (hopefully when our second shed becomes my fossil store I can finally get around to such matters!) but this is what I have for now. I've also been prepping a few things from the Germany trip over the last week or two so will eventually have pics of thsoe too [To go with the Trilo Times articles- my Messel one went uncredited ]
(It's around 6cm long- forgot to put a scale in!)
This is actually my first fin spine btw! Took me a while!- on of my housemates is ridiculous at finding things and finds loads more than anyone else and always finds the best stuff too!- and usually he gets the good stuff before the rest of us get to it!
