My various finds so far

My favourite find so far (and the only one I have pictures of), is Nellie the Nautiloid, I think a eutrophoceras expansum.
Found her on the isle of wight nere freshwater in the lower chalk, and came out easily in about 5-10minutes, unlike my friends ammonite from the same locale, roughly the same size, which was nicknamed c*** due to the 3 hours taken to dig it out!

The first pic was taken about halfway through digging Nellie out, originally all that was visible was the top of the whorl where the rippley lines are.

rightey ho, i've found my camera, and cleared enough space to get the fossils out, as soon as its charged I'll get the rest of the pictures up

Of those two ammonites, one is (sorry for bad spelling, I cant find the fossils of the chalk book) mantiloceras and the other is schlermbachia, cant remember which is which lol, the ammonite that is well preserved inside may be Lyelliceras, I'm not too sure for most of the other stuff I'm afraid, need to clean quite a few of them, and then id them. The two large half-ammonites are from lulworth cove, the 3 black pieces of croc/turtle (not 100%) are from Bouldner on the Isle of wight, Oligocene I think, I've only been there the once so far, and my mates who've been there more often have a lot more including croc teeth and verts. The rest of it is from Freshwater/Compton on the Isle, in the lower chalk.
