the top one... what does it contain. ammonites? I would like a ammonite to work with when I get my drill and polisher this Christmas Smile
I only have a friends that when he sells it I get 10% ,if I clean it nicely, but I would rather like my own.

The top one is two large partial ammonites (Choffaticeras segne), stuck together with a bit of matrix, with another small fragment, I presume of the same species, on one side as well. (The small fragment is bottom left in the picture, one of the large ones is visible and one on the other side). I found it in Morocco, at Asfla (Turonian- mid-Late Cretaceous).
The sutures are visible on the top large ammonite, but a fair bit of the outer shell has been lost (presumably dissolved over time), so only the bottom, duller layers remain.

One of those two was sold at a previous meeting (can't remember which), and both belong(ed) to a housemate- I'll check with him to see if he's still selling the other and what he wants for it

The first of the two is the one that's been sold, £15 for the second for this one
