    Ichthyosaur Bones Empty Ichthyosaur Bones

Post  Kosmos Sat Jun 09, 2012 4:31 pm

    Update 12th June: All unavailable

I have some Ichthyosaur bones, prefably for sale, but I might except a trade.

All were found in 2010 on the Jurassic coast line of south Wales between Penarth and Barry. All fossils are from the lower Jurassic (Hettangian, (199.6 - 196.5 myo). Some are repaired, but this is not surprising for their age.

    Ichthyosaur Bones 00710
    Rib Bone - £6

    Ichthyosaur Bones 01510
Mixture, Paddle, Verts and a Rib - £5

    Ichthyosaur Bones 02710
    Bones - £3.50

    Ichthyosaur Bones 024_210
    More bones - £3.50

    Ichthyosaur Bones 00810
Vert and other bone - £3.50

Due to postal prices getting higher, up to 750g is £4.
Altogether all of the bones weight less than that. Wink

    If interested please write.

Which ones are you after, and what are you willing to trade?

I too am pretty skint, so it will probably not be a deal, but do give it a go! Wink I like trading.

I was hoping to get the mixture with paddle bones, vertebrae and the bit of rib (the mixture). What is your speciality?

I collect fossils from the UK mainly. I am lacking ammonites though.

Would this be what you are looking for?
From left to right - Top
Hildoceras (Whitby), Dactylioceras (Whitby), Ammonite suture (Speeton).
    Left to right - Bottom
Dactylioceras (Whitby), Kosmoceras shell fragments (Cotswolds), Dactylioceras (beach worn)(Whitby), Ammonite sutures 3D (Speeton).
    Ichthyosaur Bones P6111510
    Very Happy
P.S. The 1st Dactylioceras is not Dactylioceras commune (I think...)

Hi Kosmos, I'd be interested in buying some of the bones. The paddle bits etc if it's still available?
Do you use Paypal and what's the postage going to be, or are you going to the Walton hunt this Sunday?
