Bowleaze Cove and Redcliffe Point are great places for Oxford Clay and Kimmeridge Clay fossils.
But beware of the current state of the cliff here. At some point, a very large amount of clay will spill onto the beach, where it'll be a fossil collector's paradise but this link gives an insight into the care that needs to be taken at this locality currently.

Now, I hope you weren't in any way responsible? Smile

I was a student down in Weymouth, living at Ringstead Bay, many years ago. I return every year. hammer

Seriously though, I went to Bowleaze Cove a couple of years back, just after some wild storms in October. Some very large chunks of Oxford Clay had fallen onto the beach and had been subjected to the evening tide. And next morning..wow! Just so many really good fossils, which you just don't see in situ. Enormous Gryphaea dilatata, wonderful ammonites, brachiopods, etc. all uncrushed and whole.
When this enormous slice of the Dorset Coastal Path descends onto the foreshore below it'll be a dream. Maybe Craig should hire a mini-bus for the occasion!
