    Researchers studying fossils from northern Kenya have identified a new species of human that lived two million years ago.

    Read the link, they basically say "A new find supports the existence of a separate species found 40 years ago" Not exactly a new species discovered.
    Also once again the Beeb has gone to talk to an English scientist at the NHM who probably isn't even a palaeoanthropologist in favour of the people who did the work from another country
