Hello I am new to the hobby and the forum I live about 20 miles outside of whitby and about 4 miles from Redcar so collection sites are not a problem but I was looking for a place to get my finds profesionly prepped. Also would anyone know how much on average this might cost. Thank you.

I know there are some who advertise on the south coast also some traders are often well equipped so may provide the service if asked but I dont have any experience out sourcing prep work and depending on the rock I imagine could be quite expensive to have done. That said perhaps someone else on here has more of an idea.

    Hi fenriswolf,

the best guy to talk to would be Mike Marshall.

His workshop is in Sandsend and I've seen alot of his work and it is top quality.

The other person to speak to would be Byron Blessed, he owns the fossil shop in Whitby and has previously done outside prep work but I'm not sure if that is still the case.
